Negative thoughts harm your body and your hormone system. Stressful thinking results in your body releasing cortisol, the well-known “stress hormone” that creates a domino effect in your body. 

Gratitude, in contrast, neutralizes stress keeping cortisol to normal levels. It also helps you boost your brain’s neurotransmitters, such as serotonin and dopamine, which are responsible for feeling happy and energized. These two chemicals are our mood regulators. Negativity makes you exaggerate and disorientates you. Gratitude, can change your life, on the other hand because it restores your mood, helps you focus on the positive, and feel less jealous.
